Resistance.
My mode.
All
is uncomfortable.
All
but being immersed in my book
or by the music
from my creator,
swelling purely with life flow.
That music
melts me.
I am droplets
of air freshener
falling to the rug.
A Tom-Tom and
a Tam-Tam
pound inside my mind
steadily.
I am the worst behavior
of a lion, sitting in some
spot, some throne, some
thick weed,
observing the hideousness in the world,
seeing through clouds to beauty.
When the entirety of human rubbish
is gone,
I am a smoke alarm,
perfectly placed, meant
to reach out
and help,
but when the fire comes,
there is no sound,
my batteries
being
dead.

I believe I’m a terribly late, it being late on Wednesday, but I thought I might submit this one for One Shot Wednesday. I love all of the good work over there.

“…immersed in the music of my creator…” You have identified the panacea for all tribulations. Stay “in tune” and life will remain in harmony. Should write the line on post-its and post em all over the place

Very interesting, Carl. That line was many things that did not capture the feel before it ended up as it is. Thanks for your comment.

You need to have someone wire you into the electrical system. Don’t rely on those batteries. None of us should.

This will require some careful design. Thanks for your comment.
