Crashing impositions imprison
penetrating, compassionate inspirations.
The insistent crashing impositions that society tries to force on me does little more than imprison my heart, mind and soul in utter chaos, penetrating my defensive barriers of fast fading coping skills, and none are compassionate to my plight, so i go wandering to bekindrewrite’s inspirations in word form for salvation.
I hope you won’t mind, but I couldn’t resist, I used your words as prompts just like bekindrewrite’s!
Ah, nothin’ more dangerous than a bored writer!

I’m glad the words prompted you! Thanks for the comment.

OK, I have been re-reading and three words just keep grabbing me ‘crashing, imprison, compassionate’ all so very different yet telling. Combined with your choice of tags “depression, idealism, purpose, resistance, why write” it creates a fascinating picture. Very appealing, I like it very much.

Thank you so much for the comment. It’s difficult to know whether this six word thing is hokey or not, but it is fun when one works. It’s really like a study for me. The economy of the limitation focuses you on the word choice.

Some of them can be hokey if people are not taking the challenge seriously. I believe you took it seriously and avoided any feel of hokey. I started doing quite a few of these short challenges (six words, 140 characters, 50 words, etc.) and they can be quite amazing in helping you focus your thoughts into short, powerful words. I think it helped my writing overall as my short stories are not as wordy but more powerful (at least judging from responses as of late). Everything can be an opportunity to learn something if someone really wants.
You are right, it is a study and you are doing a great job with it!
